31 Days to a New you: Day 8: A healthy Sunday.

The Sunday rest is longed for by many including me. Sundays are what I call "my indulgence Days". It is the only time during the week that I don't care about what I eat and I make sure to relax for the coming week.
But there is one thing I do that allows me to really relax. I start my day with some kind of exercise. Many prefer to lie in until late and think that's how you relax. For me that doesn't work at all. Because I usually think the days should have more than 24 hours I like to wake up early on a Sunday and just enjoy to do nothing after I have practices my exercise. Doesn't sound tempting do you think? Well when I say exercise I am not talking about a sweaty exercise that leaves me all tired for the rest of the day.
You just need to move a little and then you can relax for the rest of the day. And for some Sunday is the only day they have to get some real exercise. I believe that we have become a little too comfortable and are using Sundays as an excuse to continue our unhealthy habits instead of seeing it as a day to invest in our health.
We can do many things to take care of ourselves and get prepared for a long week ahead. I mentioned a few above but reading, taking a relaxing bath and calling someone we haven't spoken to in a long time is also a way of taking care of ourselves.
31 Days to a New you is about creating new healthy habits, a healthy Sunday is part of that. So tomorrow, get up a little earlier do some light exercise and take care of yourself so you are prepared for a new week on Monday.
Have a nice Sunday!
