A small glass of wine

A small glass of wine can't be that bad on the weekend can it?

You know when you go on a diet and it says that you should avoid alcohol?
Well it's not only because of the calories but because it can actually make you eat more. If you have your meal with an alcoholic drink you are more likely to eat more shows a study from Denmark.

The alcohol contains certain ingredients that will reduce your calorie burning so it's not the calories themselves that are to blame. And adding fruit juice won't help.
But of course you have to be careful, an alcoholic drink isn't calorie free.

Best thing is probably to drink just a glass or two and eat before to make sure you won't eat too much.
