Birth control and weight gain

I desperately tried to stay away but it was impossible. Why was I on antibiotics? Because I've started to get acne problems and figured that something was wrong so I went to the Dr on Friday who prescribed antibiotics. I can tell you that I stopped the antibiotics on Monday because I was feeling so terrible. It just wasn't worth it.
And I could've been spared this suffering had I only gone to the gynecologist earlier. I went on Tuesday and he told me that I was on the wrong birth control pills. That's why I got acne. So I am changing the pills and that should solve my problem but led me on to another.
I asked: Will I gain weight?
This is one of the most common worries for women, it's not that you will suffer from side effects, it's if you are going to gain weight.
Of course I was told that I probably won't.
Actually not all birth control pills causes weight gain according to the Doctors. Some women feel that they are gaining weight while they might actually be storing more water in the body. You might have to change pill to find the right one for you.
Well, you should trust the doctor but follow your instincts. Mine tells me that I should increase my training a bit more. It's been lacking terribly the last month due to illness so it's time to get in shape again.
Changing food habits is also good, personally I am adapting a low carb menu at the moment until I get on track again.
If you are putting on too much weight, have a chat with your gynecologist and see how you can change it.
Adapting a healthier lifestyle isn't bad for any of us, whether it's because of birth control pills or not.
The question remains: do you gain weight using birth control pills?
