Bring the baby to the gym
Being a mom to a small baby can be hard and finding time to work out even harder. Many moms put exercise aside because they haven't got anyone to take care of the baby while they work out. You don't want to ask someone to baby sit because you are "only" going to the gym.
I say "only" because many people see it as leisure instead of a health investment. A healthier mom has more energy to take care of her baby. And to become healthy and energetic you need to exercise. So really the time you spend exercising is an investment in you and your family.
Thankfully many gyms nowadays understand the importance of mothers using the gym and bringing their babies with them. Most gyms have a crèche (babysitting facility) where you can leave your baby with trained staff while you work out. Usually you will have to book up to a week in advance but once you start booking and learn how everything works you will get into the habit of doing it. Most places require a fee and you will have to pay whether or not you go. That is a good incentive for you to make sure you really go as well.
So if you have thought about going to the gym but aren't going because of your baby then think again. Find a gym with a crèche and start taking care of you and yourself and become a healthy mom who has energy left to play with her kids.
Do visit the crèche before leaving your baby there to make sure you leave your child in the right hands. Talk to the child minder and ask any questions you might have. Remember the safety of your baby is more important than any workout so make sure you completely trust the crèche before leaving your baby.
