Buying used fitness equipment

If you want to take up exercising but are a bit short of money to buy new equipment don't go and lay down on the sofa again. Instead get up and get out and find something that you can afford.

Of course, most of us wants new equipment but if you haven't got the money to buy it; are you suppose to limit yourself because of this?

There are other ways of saving, either for personal use or for business reasons.
Why not buy used gym equipment for your home gym?

So there is no way of knowing how much is too much or too little when you buy things. In this case fitness equipment.

You can look for your preferred equipment at many places; the news papers classifieds, why not place an ad yourself? Is your gym changing their equipment for newer ones? It doesn't necessarily mean that there is something wrong with them, ask and you might find just what you are looking for.

You can also visit special used gym equipment places that stock most fitness equipment. Have a look in the phone book or do an online search for your area.

When buying used equipment you need to make sure that you are not jeopardizing your health because you saved a few dollars. It might actually be better to spend some extra cash instead.
Make sure that everything is working just as it should be. It's also good to know that you can repair anything that breaks so that you are not left with an unusable treadmill for example.

Even if you are buying used equipment you could still get a receipt and a chance to exchange anything that breaks within a certain amount of time.

No more excuses that you have not got the money, there is something in every price range. For everyone.

I am selling kids fitness hoist equipment and wanted to know if you know someone who would be interested. I am closing my business. Thanks Carleen Varga

  • I like the river boat gym idea. A more basic idea that might work though would be hooking dynamo’s up to all the eliptical, treadmill, and byclces at the gym and harnessing that electrical power for use by the gym. I would totally get a membership if the River boat gym every opens a location on Ladybird lake and would definitely try to run over the crew teams. haha no hard feelings crew members
