Exercises For Everyone
by Linda Hernestal da Silva on March 1, 2007

In front of the computer the only thing moving is your fingers. Unless you get some good music and decide to start moving a bit extra while you type away.
Most of us are thinking we should be exercising more and we forget about the daily things we do that contributes to our well-being.
Housework for example.
I work in front of the computer all day but I also have to make sure my house isn't too messy. That means I have to clean it. Which really isn't that fun but hey, what do you do?
So I run around and sweep the floor, mop it, do the dishes, pick up all toys my son leaves around, I cook dinner, I clean the yard, etc. The list is endless.
Of course I burn calories while doing this!
I might not be burning them very fast but at least I am doing some type of exercise. Because at the end of it I am sweating. I also have to pick up my son from nursery everyday. It's a 2km walk, 4 in total.
And it's the going home part that's the most tiring. And that's because I have to push my son who weighs 15kilo in hot sun and up hill.
Oh yes, do I burn calories with that!
Even though it's only a 10min walk, but I also walk quite fast.
I am not telling you to stop exercising just reminding you that the things you do throughout the day also counts toward your daily total of burned calories and exercise.
If you want to have an indication of how much you burn there are several calorie counters you can use.
Are you a calorie counter?
