Could you be training too much?
Could you be training too much?

Yes you can actually. Obviously depending on how much you train, but it also depends on your lifestyle. You might get more stressed by trying to fit in training everyday instead of training a bit longer a few times a week.

Other people that easily gets dependant of training too much are those suffering from anorexia and bulimia. They train way to much or almost nothing at all. It's a sad fact but unfortunately they haven't got the insight abut training excessively.

Or you can get tired and not feel motivated any longer. You suddenly feel that you have no energy, can't sleep as well as normally, get tired, the symptoms can vary. If you feel that you aren't enjoying training as much as you usually do then maybe it's time to check if you are training too much.

Rest. Your body needs to rest as well. You cannot ask your body to be like a machine, it needs maintenance as well in form of rest.
But how much should you rest? Well it all depends on how much you are training. If you are training very intensively your body will obviously need more rest. Some might need a day in between every work out while others only needs to rest 1 or 2 times a week.

You can slowly reduce your training if you think that you are training too much. But remember you are not suppose to reduce it to none existing.
Test your body and see how you react to less training.
Might be for the better or for the worse, you have to try a good balance that suits you.

Remember, rest doesn't necessarily mean sleeping, there are other ways of resting.
How do you rest?
