Walking is nice. Walkiing in the country or in a park is better. But nothing beats walking with your dog.
There's a park not far from my house. I can't quite let me dog run completely free, But I have a 30-foot extension that I can add to her 12-foot leash. It lets us roam the hill sides with a greater sense of freedom as she runs hither and yonder, sickking her nose down holes and following the scents of squirrels, moles, and perhaps a few othe rlocal mammals.
We got our dog from a rescue shelter. Someone had a large litter of pups and decided not to keep the runt. She's part Shih Tzu, and that's how she was advertised. But mostly I think she's got a lot of terrier in her. Being able to find discount pet supplies makes it easy to keep her. Walking together keeps me healty – which makes her a great investment.
