Do you need to gain weight?
Filed in archive Stay Healthy on April 17, 2007
The world is full of skinny people. And some of them are not happy being skinny. They try everything to gain weight but some of them can't seem to gain weight no matter how much they try.
metabolism, well you could actually have a thyroid problem, it's the same thing with over weight people, they could also suffer from this.
Our body's are different so you have to make sure you understand what is right for you.
Even in the celebrity world some celebrities says they are too skinny. Nicole Richie announced last year that she was too skinny and needed help. Now it seems as she has finally gained some weight.
Just because you are skinny it doesn't mean you can eat whatever you want. No the same thing applies to everyone: Healthy food is what really helps you in the long run!
Examples of good food are: avocado, wheat germs, olive oil. Good fat and good protein.
Something that will help you is to keep a diary of what you eat. It's the same thing as if you were trying to loose weight only that you want to gain weight. You need to make sure you eat the right food.
Preferably you should contact a nutritionist.
One thing that will help you get bigger but not fatter is of course exercise. Join a gym and start to work out and you will gain muscles instead. This is especially for men as they usually are more worried about muscles than women.
Are you underweight and would like to gain weight instead? Or have you been underweight and managed to gain weight? How did you do it?
