Fitness on a budget

When searching for a gym, ask if they have any promotions or discounts. Usually they want to make a sale so they try to go half way at least. See if you get anything for joining, a towel etc. Go through what they offer, are classes free, personal training or assessment included, do they have a nutritionist that you can book with?
Sometimes you have to pay a bit extra to get all the benefits but it might just be worth it.
Or make sure that you don't pay for things you will never use, it's better to upgrade afterward instead.
Be inventive!
If you haven't got the money you can still exercise! Use what you have at home, use cans instead of dumbbells or fill up a water bottle with water, use the steps, use your skipping rope, take that old bicycle and make it into a inside bicycle that you can use.
Walk more, that is free and will also fill your lungs with fresh air.
If you think you need to cut down on your food expenses then maybe the sheet that Maggie made will help you. You simply list everything you buy and see how much you spend or save.
If you have some money to spend than why not go to a good fitness shop and buy things you can use at home like a résistence band, pedometer etc. Or why not invest in a fitness video, you think that the Jane Fonda days are over, you are so wrong! It's perfect if you want to get in shape at home.
It's not impossible to be fit if you are short on money or on a budget you just have to be creative.
Maybe you have your own ideas on how to be fit on a budget? I'd love to hear from you!
