Healthy Eating

Depending on the child he/she might need to eat less or more than what you actually think he/she does.
Your child isn't keen on trying new food? Then try the "No thank You Bite"
A rather easy way for you kids to learn how to try everything before they say no.
It's easy for us to say: But he's just a little kid, he needs to eat more.
Yes when they are small babies that might be so but when they get up to 10 years old and eat more than you do and gaining weight that isn't necessary, then no.
Try to serve the food in a different way than your kids are used to. They might be tempted to try the food because it looks so nice.
If you have a child that is overweight first you should go to the doctor and see what he recommends. If you feel that the doctor isn't helping you then go to a nutritionist. He/she will be able to help you and guide on what your child should eat.
If you want to change your habits at home first you could;
Make sure your child isn't hungry and snack too much. Make sure that he/she eats a steady breakfast, preferably whole grain bread and high fiber cereal. Avoid jam and too much peanut butter if that's a favorite.
Snacking doesn't necessarily mean candy, it could just as well be chewing on a red/yellow pepper, cucumber, carrot or fruit.
Make fruit salads with different fruits in it, add nuts and grains.
Get your child involved in cooking! If they see what they are about to eat they might like it better.
If you have a good tips on getting children to eat better, please share!
