Go slowly on your resistance training

Go slowly on your resistance training
When you work out at the gym it's sometimes easy to want to do your repetitions fast instead of slow.
Sometimes you just want to get out there or you are too tired to do them right.

Well it's better that you take your time but reduce the sets of repetitions instead. If you go slowly on your reps you will get better results in the end.

That is because if you go faster you are more likely to get injured and you won't build your muscles the same way.
A study showed that those doing fewer repetitions slowly, got an increase in strength by 12kilos while the faster ones only got 8 kilos.

Resistance training is important but you have to make sure you do it the right way.
Of course you can also alternate your training between fast and slow depending on your goals.

As always, the best thing to do to find out what best for you is to talk to your trainerlinks.
