Another Diet
by Linda Hernestal da Silva on October 2, 2007
Every now and then you hear someone saying they are on a diet. You might have said it yourself lately or at least a few times in your life.
Both women and men are constantly fighting to lose weight, some say it´s a constant battle and it can be. It can be really hard to lose weight and it requires a lot of determination. It also requires that you have your facts right, that you know what food to eat etc.
But what I want to know is; how long have you been dieting?
What is the actual time you have spent thinking about dieting and done it?
Go back in time and think about when you started thinking about dieting and how many times you´ve tried. Think about how you much lost and how much you gained afterwards, think about success and failures. When where you most successful? Why?
If you weren´t successful or gained the weight afterwards, why was that? What could you have done different?
If you think this through you might see that you spend more time dieting than you think. Remember that the average woman is on a diet for 31 years. Do you really want to spend 31 years of your life on a diet?
It´s time to stop dieting and search for a healthier life instead! Add more fruits and vegetables to your life instead or sacrificing your health to get slim.

Oh, thank you for posting this! The diet industry is so huge & really, losing weight comes down to two things: eating less & moving more. I wish more people realized that instead of paying for pills & surgery. I know it's not easy, but it can be done.

Thank you Del, it might not be easy but it is possible and better in the long term.
