I have no time to exercise
Filed in archive Exercises For Everyone on February 21, 2007
This is the most common excuse that exists all over the world.
I have no time no time
.
Some of us want more than 24hours in one day but as that is not possible we have to learn how to make time. Time management is a good word, keep that in mind.
If you think you haven't got the time to exercise make a schedule or a list of everything you have to do during the coming week.
The more you narrow down the time the better, then you can see exactly when you have a few minutes over.
A few minutes everyday is better than nothing for a whole week.
Some alternatives:
1) Put the alarm 25 min earlier than usual a few times a week and go for a walk/run. After a few times you will get more energy and you will no longer want to be without your daily walk/run.
2) Take a walk around the block during lunch break. Try to get a college to go with you.
3) Don't let your baby be a reason for you to not exercise! Babies loves to watch mommy dance or dance with her. Some fresh air is appreciated by everyone, take your baby for a walk in the park.
4) If you are a stay at home mom, try to find a local group of mothers that regularly take walks or exercise with their kids. You can also ask you Health visitor if you have one or at the medical center/ GP practice.
5) Find a gym that has a crèche where you can leave your baby while you exercise.
6) Take a walk after dinner or when you come home from work. It doesn't need to be long, 30 min is OK.
7) Invest in Home Gym equipment so that you can exercise while you watch TV. Make sure you use it!
8) Get a dog, you have to take the dog for a walk.
9) Get the family together and leave the house over the weekend. Why not go for a Mountainbike ride?
Something else that I think is a very good option is actually to get off a stop earlier when I take the bus. It's an excellent choice to get a few minutes extra of exercise.
Walking is excellent if you want to get moving bit more. If you want to loose weight, try to walk faster that way you will burn more calories. Walk in your own pace, try to walk at least a few times a week.
Stuck infront of the computer all day? Don't worry do Yoga.
Try to find something you enjoy doing, there's no need to force yourself. Who will loose in the long run is you by becoming bored instead of inspired.
Try to make time for yourself and use it the best you can. Exercise is important for our wellbeing and the better you feel the better you can cope with job and Family Matters.
Take a look at your schedule again, isn't there a few minutes there in the middle?
