Less fat, fatter kids

As we have become so aware of obesity, we try to protect our kids against it. We tell our kids not to eat fatty foods and we watch over them and guide them.
But the truth of the matter is that we might be doing more harm than good. It's good to teach your kids to lead a healthy life, but a study shows that kids who eat less fat are actually fatter than kids who eat more fat.
What the kids needs are the essential Omega-3 fats that are found in avocado, fish, nuts and natural oil such as olive oil. Of course you need to be attentive to what your child eats but try to encourage good food. But never force your child to eat something it doesn't want to just because it's good. Try to find a substitute and introduce it to your child.
All fat is not necessarily bad fat. Teach your kids to eat right and you will probably not have to worry about your child becoming overweight.
