Exercises For Everyone
by Linda Hernestal da Silva on September 15, 2007

Of course I know roughly how far I walk but it is also fun to see how it all adds up every day. Sometimes it feels as if we don´t exercise at all so looking at the walking (or exercise) log can make us realize we are exercising more, or less, than we think we are.
Walking with Attitude have a free walking log that is easy to use. It is a twelve week sheet where you can log how far you have walked, speed, time and how many steps you have walked. You can also calculate your daily goal steps.
Of course you can easily make your own log. In a word document, write the points you want to remind yourself of and write down each day. Preferably put it up somewhere you can see it to motivate yourself further. You can find an example of a walking log at Weight Loss Moms.
At Fitness journal you can sign up for a paid service where you can log your walks.
Walk with spirit also has a down loadable walking log for you to keep track of all your weekly and monthly walks.
By using a walking log you can set up small goals, walk for one day and record your steps, the best way to do that is to invest in a pedometer that will tell you how many steps you have taken. Then tell yourself that you will walk 100 steps extra the next day and increase it day by day. 100 steps really isn´t very much so you might find you are walking much more than that.
