Walking
by Linda Hernestal da Silva on December 24, 2007
I am sure that you, just like me, have spent too many Christmases saying that next year you will not eat so much that you feel like a big heavy balloon. When Christmas comes we tend to eat more than we should, and we let ourselves do it because it is Christmas.
If you haven't already made walking a part of your Christmas traditions then it's time to. No more Christmases where you only eat and lie down, go for a walk and you will feel so much lighter afterwards. I remember that when I was a child we always took a walk in the afternoon to digest the food and get some air. Taking the whole family for a walk around Christmas is something special and a wonderful tradition.
Don't let other family members keep you inside, try to get them to walk with you and if they don't want to; go by yourself. You will not regret it, a little stroll in the neighborhood does wonders and even give you room for some more food should you want to. *smile*
