Prepare yourself for winter
Filed in archive Stay Healthy on July 13, 2007
Now when it´s summer it is the perfect time for you to make the most out of those long days and prepare yourself for the cold and dark days.
We already know that the sun is no reliable vitamin D source so no matter how much you stay in the sun it won´t do much difference on that subject.
Now when it´s summer it´s the perfect time for you to stock up on other vitamins and make sure that when the cold dark days comes they won´t affect you too much. Don´t think of the summer only as a time to relax and enjoy yourself. If you combine that and think of it as a time to spa treat your body for a month or two you will definitely be relaxed when your holiday is over and you have to go back to work.
Spa treating your body includes:
Long walks in the morning or in the evening.
Swimming a few times a week, running on the beach, playing beach volleyball. Typical summer activities.
Rest, sleep is important.
Get a massage whenever you can, and try to keep that up when you start working. It´s great for a stressed mind. Instead of going to a spa, make your own spa at home.
Try mind relaxing activities if you know that you will be stressed when you go back to work.
Eat lots of fresh fruits, every meal is a step to a healthier you when autumn comes. Make sure you get all vitamins your body needs. Berries contains lots of antioxidants. Treat yourself to a healthy fruit salad each day. Your body will love it!
If you take care of yourself now and build up your muscles and resistance to diseases you will be less affected when winter comes.
