Stay Healthy

If you are into sports you are very likely to get hurt once in a while.
It can be because of damaged equipment, because you didn´t pay attention to the instructions, you slipped or it can be because of anything. It´s hard to predict when an accident will happen but we can minimize the risks.
Prevention is the key but if you happen to get injured be careful and get someone who has proper training to help you.
A few tips to avoid sport injuries:
1. Get proper instructions beforehand so you know what you will be doing.
2. Use proper gear, shoes and clothes.
3. Do not use damaged equipment
4. Take it easy, if you are not comfortable doing something don´t do it or you could hurt yourself.
5. Warm up and cool down before and after each exercise.
Read more at Healthy on how to prevent sport injuries.
If you are in charge of any child activity involving sports it is good if you are prepared for any necessary treatment. Treating a child is not the same thing as treating an adult as kids normally are more fragile.
You know about first aid but do you know about Fitness First Aid?
Fitness first aid is almost like normal first aid but it involves a few other techniques and equipment.
A course in Fitness First Aid will include knowledge as how to treat foot injuries, head injuries, muscle cramp and soreness, medical emergencies and much more.
If you want to test your child's fitness aid knowledge he/she can take this little quiz for fun.
Be safe, be careful and have fun!
