Ride into fitness

I didn´t have an interest for horses as far as I remember but I was put into a riding school and has since then loved horses.
Horse riding is an excellent sport. Not only do you get strong legs and a good workout but as well you get to care for an animal which is always good. Love and affection and sport does go well together.
But isn´t it dangerous? Well the amount of times that I have fallen of or gotten bitten or stepped on are uncountable. I have only had 2 accidents that has left me with some scars
. But nothing that I have been hospitalized for. And nothing that I regret. You can ride your way into fitness if you start with horse riding. You will burn a good amount of calories of course. Except for riding and getting a good work out from that you also have to be strong when you take care of the horse afterwards. If you haven´t got strong arms before you will sure get it! I still have very strong arms after all those years and I haven´t ridden a horse in years now. That is not voluntarily though.
Sitting on the horse back also makes you de stress and forget your problems as you concentrate on other things. Great for a stressed mind.
Some people say it´s bad for your back and some says it´s good for the back. I believe the latter.
This is also a great family sport and if you introduce your kids to it at an early age they get the hang of riding really quickly. You can also find riding tours all over the world for you to enjoy while on holiday.
After the first time on a horse back your legs will be quite sore but after a few times it gets better. There are however some simple things you can do to prepare yourself at home before.
If you have never ridden before I say; go ahead, you might get bitten. Horse bitten to continue that is.
