Soy products to help weight loss?
Vegetarians who eats a lot of soy protein might be pleased to hear that soy protein has been connected with weight loss.

Actually it is connected with all kinds of soy products. Research has shown that an intake of soy products can speed up your metabolic rate.
"We wanted to compare the effects of soy protein hydrolysates and soy peptides with those of leptin because we hypothesized that soy might behave in the body in a similar way. Leptin is a hormone produced in our adipose tissue that interacts with receptors in the brain and signals us that we're full so we stop eating," said elvira de Mejia, a U of I assistant professor of food science and human nutrition.

This project is still only tested on animals but is believed to have similar effects on humans.
Everything has to do with our hormones and further tests are being carried out to see how we are affected by this.

For those wanting to try this out soy is found in many products like soy milk, tempeh etc.
It is also good to reduce heart diseases and other illnesses.

Well there can't be any harm in eating a little bit more soy products.
