Stop stressing and lose weight
Filed in archive Stay Healthy on September 16, 2007
Feel like you are running around all day and wondering why you are not losing any weight?
When we stress our body compensates by making our stress hormones work extra hard. Your adrenaline goes up as well as the stress hormones cortisol and noradrenalin, all this makes your sugar levels raise.
Your body will burn fat slower and you will feel more tired stressing around.
The same thing if you feel you are not gaining weight, stress is not good for anyone. The answer; stress down!
Stop stressing and you will see that you are taking better care of your body without doing anything special. Try to take regular breaks and a walk in the park or other calm place during lunch. Think about how you breathe, by taking deep breaths and breathing out slowly you will feel less stressed.
By stressing less, eating and sleeping well you will notice it gets easier to lose those extra kilos.

My friend and I have been working out together for 6 months now and she was complaining just yesterday that she's gaining weight again. She has been going through some major stress in the past few weeks! This could be the reason for her weight gain!
