Summer holiday is here!

Yes, the summer holiday is here and has been for a few weeks now.
Summer holiday means that your kids are at home from school and also that they are turning the house upside down.

Turning the house upside down?
For some parents the summer holiday is dreaded. What shall I do to entertain my kids???
That is a question that many parents ask themselves as summer approaches. And no, you don´t need to place them in front of the TV. As there are still a few weeks left there is still time to get your house organized and for your kids to get active.

Tips on how to get through the holiday:
* Make cleaning the house into a game. Who can put their toys away the quickest?
* Skipping rope contest, a great way to entertain the kids and get them to get rid of some of that energy that only kids seems to have.
* Daily reads, reading is great for everyone. Take your kids to the library, brings some books home, and have them read at least 30 minutes per day. Perfect time for you as a parent to do something else.
* Daily walks, why not make a habit of talking a walk in the evening when it´s not so hot?
* Check out summer camps for your kids, they will probably love it and get to try loads of new things.
* Schedules; make a schedule on things that your kids have to do everyday. An excellent opportunity for them to help at home.
* Family time; why not try at least 2 new sports every week? Football, tennis, badminton, swimming etc.
* Cycling, the kids will love it, just stay away from heavy traffic.
* House swap, swap house with someone you know for a week or two. Try to discover new things to do in your new area.
*Games, indoor or outdoor. Your kids will be laughing and entertaining themselves for hours.

You don´t need super powers as a parent to survive the summer. Sometimes your kids needs less entertainment than you think.
Enjoy it while you can, soon your kids will be back to school. Then it can be fun to remember how much fun you had in the summer.

Summertime is the perfect time to get active with your kids!
