Sunday; a day for walking your dog

Sunday is the day to rest for most of us. Resting means we stay inside and do nothing. I really try to rest during the weekend but it's hard. There are always so many things to do that I end up not resting at all.

Sunday is a perfect day to activate yourself and your family. But it's also a perfect day to exercise your dog. Everyone needs exercise and that includes your dog. Unless your dog is old he will be ready to go out anytime, it doesn't matter if it's Wednesday or Sunday.

Many dog owners aren't able to spend as much time as they wish with their dog, some even got dog walkers to walk their dog during the day when they can't. So Sunday is a good day to take your dog for a Long Walk. And by long I'm thinking at least an hour or two. The walk will be great for you and your dog.

Don't let rain stop you; put on a pair of waterproof boots and a raincoat and off you go. You will have to bathe your dog afterwards if he is really dirty. Or get him his own raincoat. There are so many accessories for dogs these days that surely you can find something for your needs as well.

If you don´t live close to a green area then take the car and go to the closes forest, assuming there is one, and walk around there. Don't let your dog loose if he isn't likely to come back when you call him. And make sure to bring a map if you have never been there before.



When you are walking you can combine the walk with some fun games and exercises. In the forest there are stocks that your dog can jump over and you can train different commands etc.

I'm off to take my dogs for a walk now, it´s been hot all day but now it's started to cool down a bit so now is a good time for us to walk. A little rain won't harm you but if it's too hot you should wait until it gets slightly cooler.

Haven't got a dog? Borrow one from someone else, they will be happy you are offering to walk their dog and the dog will be even happier. Or maybe it´s time to get your own one?
