That time it was about blood pressure, this time it´s about skin cancer and how coffee and exercise can help prevent it.
The new study, performed in the UK by scientists shows;
The study, at Rutgers University in New Jersey, showed that a combination of exercise and some caffeine - equivalent to one or two cups of coffee a day - protected against the effects of the Sun's ultraviolet-B (UVB) radiation, which can lead to cancer. The caffeine and exercise seemingly conspire to kill off pre cancerous cells whose DNA has been damaged by UVB-rays, the authors say.
The test, done on mice divided into three groups, noticed that the mice that drank coffee and stayed in the sun had an increase of 95% protecting skin cells and the mice that exercised increased 120%. Mice that drank coffee and exercised showed an amazing 400% increase in UVB-induced aptosis.
