Exercises For Everyone
by Linda Hernestal da Silva on October 29, 2007
Hearing the crowds cheering when you are running on the track or playing football is probably one of the greatest motivations there when it comes to sports.
But what if you are deaf? Then what how do you get motivated as an athlete?
I actually hadn't thought about this until recently when I saw a commercial for deaf athletes and how to support them. The commercial says: "They can't hear you cheering but they can see your donations".
Showing support to athletes is so much more than cheering and perhaps we forget that sometimes. There are other ways to support than standing up and shouting and waving on your favorite athlete.
Something for us to think about the next time we are cheering our favorite team or player.
