There was a time I had arthritis. At least I thought I had. (Later it would turn out that what I had was muscle weakness brought about by my hyperthyroidism.)
Anyways, I have never been a person to exercise. But I do love walking. So there goes my exercise: walking.
When I had attacks of muscle weakness, I couldn't even stand up. My brothers had to lift me from the sofa to the bed so I can rest my legs. If I try to stand up, I'll end up on a heap on the floor. Just so I can walk (or just merely stand up) I contemplated on the following options: wheeled walkers, walking canes and knee braces.
I almost ended up with knee braces. Until finally, hyperthyroidism was pointed out. Now I'm walking joyfully once more.
