Gold’s Gym Goes Christian?

Gold's Gym, a 44,000- square-foot building, is subjected to rezoning and probable conversion into a church. The plan for the same has been set to motion.
The Gold's Gym land might then become home to the Sun Grove Community Church if they succeed in buying the building from the Bank of America.
The pastor of this church, Jay Stevans expressed his gratitude towards the city council and the planning commissioners, who voted 5-0 to propose a rezoning of the Gold's Gym property. The manager Bob Brooks of Gold's Gym in Elk Grove as well as Natomas however, still hopes to retain the land in order to continue business with their loyal clientele.
Will the Gold's Gym, after its debated rezoning from 'highway travel commercial' to 'general commercial', belong to the 800-member followers of the Baptist rooted church?
There are some handicaps and conditions that the church might be required to meet if given the land; the final decision regarding the future of Gold's Gym will be taken by the city council on July 27 2011.
